Gail M. Barndollar graduated from Florida International University in Miami in 1981 and began working for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in Fort Lauderdale in their Small Business Services and Tax Departments. In 1983 she moved to Savannah and worked for Philip Hoffman and Mike Skinner. She became a partner in 1987 in the firm which was formerly known as Hoffman, Skinner & Barndollar.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She served as past President of the Savannah Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs, and she has received the Certified Financial Planner designation by the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners.
